Frank Knight celebrates 100 gallons and FBS honors
Century Club donor
 Franklin Knight III has donated
whole blood as well as platelets with concurrent plasma
for the past 50 years of his life.
In mid August, he achieved a new milestone by
donating a total of 100 gallons of blood!
Frank has joined 6 other
FBS donors
who have exceeded the
100 gallon level
of donations. Their names
are, Dell Ward,
Nick Marino Jr., John
Vanberkel and
Petra Stentz who donate at
our Bradenton
Center, Frank Aumack who
gives at the
Largo Donor Center, and
Roy Richards who
shares his gift of life at
our Lakewood Ranch Center. In recognition of their
commitment to saving patient lives, a Century Donor Club
plaque was dedicated to all of them, and is now on
display in the lobby at your FBS Corporate
Headquarters.

October 10 at 12 Noon for a FREE lunch and
T-shirt, followed by a tour of your FBS
laboratories. Please come
and learn how your donations are
separated, stored and tested, before being
delivered to our hospitals. We are

This past summer, FBS gave hats and visors to all of
our lifesaving donors. Since we ended
up with some extra caps we thought you would agree that
cancer patients, who loose their hair when undergoing
chemotherapy, would look great in them. So, we gave
Moffitt Cancer Center over 1,000 to give to their
patients in need!

FBS partnered with CW 44 on a
promotion prior to the premiere of their new show,
Vampire Diaries. During the filming, Dracula
stopped by to donate but would only give his
platelets. He said he was too fond of red blood
cells to share them!

Giving has become a favorite day of saving for
so many - saving lives at our annual blood drive
on November 14th and 15th - and saving you big
$$ on purchases at this fabulous event. Did we
mention that you could win great raffle prizes

that?! In 2008 over 100 event attendees walked
away with fabulous prizes ranging from $25 gift
cards and baskets to a $1,000 shopping spree.
