It takes over 750 pints of blood per day to meet Tampa Bay's blood needs!

We must collect over 750 pints of blood every day to assure an adequate, safe supply for hospital, ambulatory care, and home transfusion patients in Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties. There is no synthetic substitute for blood. Nor is there a source other than volunteer donors. Florida law prohibits payment for blood that is to be transfused.
