Blood Components

Plasma is the liquid which floats through the body. It is used primarily for burn and massively transfused patients.
Cryo-precipitate is a small portion of the plasma. It is used in open heart and neuro surgeries.
Platelets help blood clot. They are used for patients with leukemia, cancer and during open heart surgery.
Red Blood Cells carry oxygen from the lungs throughout the body and are given to patients with severe anemia.
Whole Blood replaces massive blood loss due to surgery or injury.
